His Excellency the Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, visits the Najran Chamber
His Excellency the Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, visited the Najran Chamber, as part of his tours to support the investment environment and enhance economic development across the Kingdom’s regions.
He was received on behalf of the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Badr bin Hamoud Al-Mojel, by the First Vice Chairman, Mr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Khamsan, the Second Vice Chairman, Mr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Zanati, and Board members Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Sallum, Mr. Abdullah bin Salem Al-Mukhlis, Mr. Mohsen bin Mubarak Al-Sieari, along with the Acting Secretary General of the Chamber. The meeting was also attended by a number of business leaders from the region and took place at the Abdullah bin Kharsan Al-Mukhlis Business Hall.
At the beginning of the meeting, the First Vice Chairman, Mr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Hayder, delivered a welcoming speech, expressing the Chamber’s appreciation for this visit, which reflects the Wise Leadership’s commitment to supporting investment and regional development, and emphasizing the Chamber’s dedication to enhancing partnership with the Ministry of Investment to serve the aspirations of the region’s business community.
His Excellency the Minister highlighted in his speech the Ministry’s commitment to supporting and empowering investors, strengthening partnership with the private sector, and praised the promising investment potentials in the Najran region. He noted that the Wise Leadership prioritizes investment, ensuring an attractive and stimulating environment for investors, and emphasized that local investors are key partners in economic development and main drivers of investment growth across the Kingdom.
He further explained that the Ministry continuously works to accelerate investment in the regions by leveraging each region’s competitive advantages across various sectors, contributing to economic diversification and creating sustainable, high-quality opportunities. He also pointed out the Ministry’s intention to form a joint working team including representatives from the Ministry of Investment and the Najran Chamber, to identify available investment opportunities, monitor challenges faced by investors, and develop appropriate solutions, thereby enhancing the region’s readiness for investment.
The Minister affirmed that Najran possesses promising potentials that qualify it to be one of the Kingdom’s attractive regions for global investment. The Ministry aims to highlight investment opportunities in the region, attract foreign capital, and support and develop local capital, contributing to comprehensive development and enhancing the region’s competitiveness both locally and internationally.
The meeting also included an open discussion with several business leaders, during which many inquiries and contributions regarding investment and the business environment in the region were addressed, fostering direct communication between the Ministry and the private sector.
