With reference to the letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers, No. 10/45543436, dated 08/08/1447 AH, indicating that the Federation received an email from the Ministry of Commerce dated January 6, 2026, enclosing a letter from the King Salman Center for Disability Research, No. (316-1-4-2025), dated December 28, 2025, regarding the Center's intention to organize the King Salman International Award for Disability Research and to open nominations for the award's fourth cycle, with the winners to be announced in December 2026, the award aims to recognize institutions, scientific bodies, and individuals who have presented high-quality research with a tangible impact on improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families. It also seeks to enrich knowledge, deepen international research cooperation, and create a competitive environment that supports systematic innovation to reduce disability and address its various consequences. Each winner will receive a financial prize of $133,000. An American award, along with a medal and certificate of appreciation, is being presented to encourage participation from as many scientific and research institutions, researchers, scientists, and experts as possible across its five branches.
